Ryan Humphries

Ryan Humphries served as a police officer for the State of Alabama for 6 years, and is a graduate of the Alabama Police Academy at Selma. While he no longer actively serves with a police department, he provides his services to ETC for the security of our audience and our host venues.

Previously, he served 14 years with the United States Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant and serving for 8 years as a firearms instructor. He graduated from the Army Non-Commissioned Officers' Training Academy (with Honors) and COBRA (Chemical, Ordinance, Biological, RAdiological) Weapons of Mass Destruction Terrorism Training at the Anniston Army Depot. He also underwent the Combat Lifesaver Course and is CPR For Professional Rescuers certified. The Army has awarded Sgt. Humphries the Army Commendation Medal.

In addition to his professional duties, Ryan is also an avid writer, Celtic dancer, and student of Psychology. He is a member of Psi Chi National Psychology Honors Society, and a performer with The Birmingham Irish Set Dancers. He is currently working on his first novel, tentatively titled Night Wolves Hunt.
