A Samford University graduate, "Laura K" has worked sporadically in local theater for twenty years, appearing onstage in productions with Samford University Theatre, Muse of Fire: Shakespeare at Sloss, Birmingham Festival Theatre, and The Library Theatre in Hoover. She began stage managing several years ago in an attempt to get paid for doing theatre work and has been lurking backstage in the dark ever since, coming out to face the footlights only occasionally. Laura has stage managed at Samford University Theatre, Magic City Actors Theatre, The Virginia Samford Theatre, Centerstage Productions, UAB Opera, Alabama Operaworks and The Historic Ritz Theater in Talledega and is the Crew Chief for Extemporaneous Theatre Company improv troupe. Miss K can be seen performing her action packed comedy routine daily at Kelley's Neighborhood Sports Grill in Lakeview. She is currently writing her memoirs, tentatively titled "Separate Checks".
