Inspired by the simple formula of work + play, the Hunter Brothers, including original MTV VJ Alan Hunter and photographer Hugh Hunter, dedicated time, resources and money to create the premiere entertainment complex in the Southeast.Countless building names were considered – the Trout Farm, the Really, Really Creative Factory, Entertainment Is Us, to name a few – before they settled on the two concepts right under their collective noses. WorkPlay was born in Autumn, 2001.
Originally intended as a brick and mortar oasis for all things creative, WorkPlay has blossomed into a true multi-functional facility for commercial, entertainment, corporate, private and non-profit events and productions of all kinds. If it’s a happening time, it’s happening at WorkPlay.
